Starting November 1st, a new mission awaits our young explorers at the Acropolis Museum every Sunday. The program "A Mystery Needs Solving: Searching for the Gods' Gifts" invites children to embark on a playful adventure through the world of the gods.
Pan, the mischievous god of shepherds and flocks, has been up to his tricks again and this time he has caused quite a stir! Jealous that the Athenians honor the other gods more than him—and only remember him every now and then—he has hidden gifts intended for the gods of the Acropolis. The gifts are concealed in his sanctuary, inside one of the caves on the northern slope of the Acropolis. The Athenians are in a panic! They need to restore order and return the gods’ gifts to their sanctuaries on the Acropolis. Can you help them find the missing gifts among the countless objects in the Museum?
Join us for a fun-filled game of discovery, skills and exploration at the Acropolis Museum. Together, we will get to know the gods of Olympus, discover their symbols, and explore the importance of their worship at the Acropolis. Did every god have a place on the Acropolis?
The mission unfolds both in the Museum galleries and in the Educational Centre, where play becomes a powerful partner in learning.
